Principles Of Music Radio Formatting

Early in my career, I began keeping notebooks, collecting what I thought were good ideas about music radio programming. Eventually, I compiled and edited the collection into a book titled “The Programming Operations Manual”, providing it to the staffs of the stations I programmed and consulted, later offering it for sale to others. More than 4000 copies have been ordered over the years and I am pleased when I hear from readers telling me it has been of much benefit to them. This 50 page report is taken from the Programming and Formatting sections of the Ops/Manual.
