But Pat was already well established as a Texas music who could, then and still now, sellout most venues every night anywhere in this here state. This song is his first on the Sugar Hill label and is from an album titled “Songs We Wish We’d Written”. This’n was written by Joe Ely, another Texas music icon. It’s currently the top song on the Texas radio chart (we gots a’r own list down heah, ya know). I like this, but most of the songs I find on that chart, I don’t know if it’s got the right kinda’ juice for listeners outside this border.
