Toby’s delivered a truly fine record, another in a long line of excellent compilations. Some of my still-favorite modern Country songs are album tracks he never released as singles. Out of a bunch’a good ones, the Title Track of the album grabs me the mostest. It’s clearly inspired by Billy Joel’s “Piano Man”. Joel’s setting was a bar somewhere in the Bronx or Brooklyn. Toby’s observations are of a bar somewhere, anywhere in middle America. It’s about community and it’s a very good listen.
