In the 80s and 90s, I was self-employed radio programming consultant specializing in the Country music format. This blog first went up as a place where I could give my clients updates. They could download my recommended music lists and Currents updates instead of getting them by email, fax or mail. My Current Playlist updates always included a cover page with commentary on the songs I was recommending for airplay and other new songs of interest. At the beginning of this century I focused most of my attention on my company’s music and traffic schedulers. While I no longer offered full-service consulting, I did continue to publish my music advisory and playlist updates. I’ve left a few of the old reviews in the archives for fossil hunters. Now, it’s all radio ramblings posted on no regular schedule.
